CMR actively works to reduce the carbon footprint of temporary seagoing staff by prioritising public transport wherever possible. Our experienced in-house Travel Consultant ensures cost-effective, efficient travel across the UK, Europe, and beyond. When taxis are necessary, journeys are shared, and hire cars or personal vehicles are only used in cases of absolute necessity. This approach balances timely vessel arrivals with cost efficiency and environmental responsibility.

ECO-FRIENDLY OFFICE PRACTICES

We have implemented a range of measures to reduce our environmental impact within our offices:

• Recycling, Reducing, and Reusing: Default double-sided printing, elimination of single-use plastics, hand dryers instead of towels, and powering down electrical equipment daily all contribute to lowering our footprint.
• Paperless Office: Our fully digital recruitment platform has eliminated the need for paper files, recycling the contents of over 20 filing cabinets and saving an estimated 60,000 sheets of paper annually. This also supports GDPR compliance and enables flexible remote working.
• Limiting Travel: Flexible working reduces fuel emissions, while video and telephone conferences replace travel for many meetings. Office deliveries are also less frequent to minimise transport impact.
• Onsite electric car charging is now available for our team.
