News From Our Latvian Office

Our Latvian team have been busy in 2018 obtaining several new crewing contracts.  Earlier in the year the Clyde Marine Recruitment Latvia assumed responsibility for managing Portuguese and UK crew for one of the largest operators of OSV’s. The Latvian team were pleased to be awarded a new contract for assisting with Baltic States crews for a North Sea Ferry operator.

The Latvian team have also been busy with ship visits this year including meeting crew on-board four Baltic Sea RoPax vessels and additionally a trip to meet crew on-board the world’s oldest Paddle Steamer.

News from Clyde Marine Recruitment Poland

Our Poland office has continued to work with key crew management clients for the supply and management of Polish seafarer nationals.  In addition, the office has been busy supporting both Riga and Glasgow in the supply of temporary Polish Deck and Engine Officers and Ratings for various vessels and clients.

In 2019 our Polish seafarers will face significant taxation changes due to changes in MLI convention. Our Polish office will work closely with clients to find the best solution for our crew in light of these forthcoming changes.
