Summary

Key Points – Master (Permanent Position)

Location: Joining port TBC
Start Date: Around 19th November 2025 (includes 2-week handover)
Rotation: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off
Salary: £75,614.97 per annum
Crew: 7 (soon 8, including an AB/Cook)


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and uphold a strong safety culture – Safe Out, Safe Home.

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management systems.

  • Lead and motivate the crew, supporting engagement and professional development.

  • Manage vessel budgets (victualling and consumables).

  • Maintain vessel certification and documentation.

  • Act as Ship Security Officer under the ISPS Code or delegate as appropriate.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.


Essential Certificates

  • CoC Master II/2 3000GT unrestricted (HELM certification if CoC issued after August 2013; CEC equivalent if non-UK)

  • STCW Advanced Firefighting and Fire Prevention

  • STCW Personal Survival Techniques

  • STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats

  • STCW Medical Care on Board Ships Certificate

  • GMDSS Radio Operator’s Certificate

  • Radar and ARPA Certification

  • STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility Certificates

  • ECDIS Certificate

  • Proficiency in Designated Security Duties

  • Ship Security Officer Certificate

  • DP Advanced


Desirable Requirements

  • Wind Farm or similar offshore experience

  • Furuno ECDIS Type-Specific Certification

  • Ship Safety Officer and Enclosed Space Entry training


Other Requirements

  • Flexible approach to working hours

  • Commitment to continuous professional development

  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office applications

  • Unrestricted ENG1 Seafarer’s Medical

  • Full, clean manual driving licence

  • Valid passport

  • UK Right to Work (if non-UK applicant)
