The Tanera Project is recruiting a Marine Operations & Compliance Lead to take full ownership of compliance, governance and operational readiness across a multivessel commercial fleet supporting passenger transport, cargo, fuel movements and island logistics yearround. “The role is accountable for ensuring the fleet remains continuously inspectionready, auditready and operationally resilient.”

The Role

You’ll lead MCA/MECAL/MGN 280 compliance, maintain a live Safety Management System, oversee planned maintenance and defect management, and manage marine contractors. You’ll ensure crew certification and competency, maintain controlled documentation and audit evidence, and lead emergency, spill and environmental preparedness within a Marine Protected Area.

What You Bring

Handson experience in marine operations, fleet compliance or superintendent roles, with strong knowledge of commercial vessel operations, MCA requirements, SMS, risk management and audit processes. Confident engaging regulators and credible with skippers and crew.
