Summary

We are currently looking for a Chief Mate to join our client RoPax vessel operating in the North of the UK.

Applicants must hold, as a minimum, STCW Reg. II/2 Chief Mate (Near Coastal, less than 3,000 GT). . GMDSS General Operator’s Certificate, a valid ENG1 medical certificate, and in-date STCW certification in Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Advanced Fire Fighting, Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, and Medical First Aid are all essential.

Ideally, candidates will also hold STCW certification in Crowd Management, Passenger Safety, Cargo Safety and Hull Integrity, and Crisis Management and Human Behaviour. However, training can be provided for the right candidate where these endorsements are not already held.

Candidates must be UK-based and have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be required to comply with all company policies, including the Drug and Alcohol Policy, which includes provision for random testing without cause.

Applicants must have extensive experience operating on RoPax vessels.
