DIGITAL PROFILES – WHAT ARE THEY?

After decades in the industry, it’s safe to say that we have a comprehensive understanding of what companies want to know about prospective candidates. We also know seafarers and the huge amount of admin required to keep all your paperwork and CV up to date, it’s a chore isn’t it!  Let’s not forget the dilemmas of the personal statement – should you include your love of reading, keeping fit and watching movies or that you like to travel round animal sanctuaries and cuddle tigers? Our system has been carefully designed to include a DESCRIPTION box in your sea service entry, so you can show off all these things that make you unique and package it up in an easy to read format for prospective employers.

The digital profiles are shared via a secure URL link, so they can view all your personal information online in a standardised format. These links are only accessible for a set period ensuring that your personal details remain secure and we are GDPR compliant.

Our industry is reliant on outdated processes for certification and is struggling under mountains of paperwork. We want the industry to embrace digital systems that will streamline processes, reduce paper waste and develop digital certification recognised globally from all awarding bodies. Digital certificates are on the horizon and we want to be prepared.

We’re interested in your sea service and the notes you make about each trip – where you were trading, the cargoes, operational challenges, drydocks, major overhauls etc… Uploading all your certificates is essential too. We need to know you’re qualified and to what level. You are also able to add and edit your personal details and education… our system is your new CV!
