During such uncertain times we understand how unsettling it can be for our candidates and clients and wanted to reassure you that we are taking steps to ensure the welfare of our applicants and will continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
It is important that we keep you up to date with the various changes that have been made to our procedures, this is to keep our candidates and staff as safe as we can so please read the following information carefully.
FOR APPLICANTS

At present if you do not pass these initial checks, we will be unable to consider you for a position until you are symptom free or have been back in your home country for over 14 days. The information you provide to us will be shared with our clients so that they can assess the risk based on their own COVID-19 contingency policies.
To ensure your welfare, we are requesting that our clients can confirm the vessel they are recruiting for has not visited any country or area that the Foreign & Commonwealth Office has advised against ‘all’ or ‘all but essential’ travel to and that there are no indications or symptoms of COVID-19 among the personnel on board.
Available and Healthy?
We are gathering a pool of able seafarers who will be able to mobilise at short notice as we expect seafarer sickness to increase. If you would like to be added to this list please get in touch with our team.

OUR TEAM
We have implemented temporary social distancing, with 50 per cent of staff currently always working from home. Our home working trials satisfied that our software and technology is compatible within the home and that our GDPR responsibilities are adhered to at all times.
Those in the workplace are set up at isolated workstations to ensure social distancing is maintained.
While working from our offices the staff have been well briefed on hygiene practices to mitigate COVID-19 in the workplace.
Visitors are no longer permitted in our offices and external meetings are being conducted via skype and telephone.
CMR staff and management are distributed throughout the UK, Poland and Latvia and are cross-skilled to assist colleagues in our other offices should sickness rates peak in one location.
We have updated our email signatures to emphasise our policy for candidates and are sharing information across our digital network.
CONTINUING SERVICES
To assist in the anticipated increase in seafarer sickness absences, we are proactively building up our pools of available candidates who can travel at short notice. If you would like to be added to this pool please get in touch.
We will continue to keep you updated as the situation develops, we are confident that we can continue to supply quality crew to clients whilst ensuring the well-being of our staff and seafarers.
